Odd that ABC would want to move the series away from "The Love Boat". The 2 aired back to back on Saturday nights for several seasons...a 2 hour programming block of escapism entertainment. I'd never looked to see "Fantasy Island"'s time-slots over the years so I had thought it aired either before or after "The Love Boat" for it's entire 7 season run.
